The Continence Foundation of Australia is the peak body for people who have bowel or bladder control (incontinence) problems in Australia. 

There are an estimated 4.8 million people with an incontinence problem in Australia.  Incontinence affects children and adults (young and old).  We encourage people to adopt healthy bladder and bowel habits to prevent problems and to get help for any control problems.

Children's Bedwetting Clinic

Our experienced Paediatric Continence Nurse can assess and treat children who have issues with bladder and bowel control.  These issues can include day wetting, bedwetting, constipation and faecal incontinence.The clinic operates every Friday at our office in Newington. Appointments are essential.  .

Outreach Home Health Program

The Continence Foundation of Australia in NSW Inc. Outreach Program is a part-time clinical service where our experienced Continence Nurse can come to your home to assess continence related issues.  A My Aged Care referral is required for an appointment with a continenence nurse for those  living in the Penrith, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains area.

NDIS Continence Assessments and Management Plans

The Continence Foundation of Australia in NSW Inc is a registered NDIA Service Provider and can conduct individualised continence assessment and management plan reports. Please contact our office for further information. 

Health Promotion

Our Health Promotion Officer (HPO) can arrange presentations on various continence related topics.  The talks are tailored to suit consumers, health professionals and can be translated for the CALD community.  The HPO can also attend Expos and other events to help increase awareness of continence related issues.

Education

Educational events can be provided for health professionals, including GPs, nurses and physiotherapists. We hold an annual NSW State Continence Conference event usually scheduled in May, see our Education page for more information.
